Next to Blackjack and Baccarat, Craps is the only other main casino table game that offers some of the best odds to the players.
Some games can offer as little as 0.02 percent house edge on the pass line bet with 100 times odds, and come and place bets with full odds. This makes Craps among the best games for the player.
This game is fast and furious. You can win, and lose, a lot of money very quickly, if, that is, you play Craps the way that most players do, by relying purely on some of the tried-and-established principles of Craps play. It’s noisy and crowded and can be intimidating. Don’t worry, since in this Craps Strategy you will learn how to play Craps without in¬timidation and for profits, regardless of what happens and what the other players, or shooters, do or don’t do. You won’t have to make complicated bets, and you won’t have to be concerned with anything else. Your strategy play will allow you to enjoy the game knowing that while all the other players are excited over silly things, you will always be in profit at the end result of your combined sessions play.

As with all my strategies, I assume that you already know the game, bets, odds, and how to make and place bets and odds. This strategy is not intended to teach you the game, but is designed to maximize the profits for players who have already mastered Craps. If you need a refresher course in Craps play, I recommend my book Powerful Profits from Craps.
One of the benefits of this Craps Strategy is that even if you do not know all there is to know about Craps, you can still play the game by learning this strategy and applying it. To do this, all you will need to learn about Craps is how to make and place these bets and odds, and how to maintain and manage your strategy and bets as you play.
There are two Craps strategies in this chapter.
• Craps Strategy #1 is based on pass line bets and place bets.
• Craps Strategy #2 is based on playing the hardways with a side bet on the pass line.
Both can be played simultaneously, although I would advise against it, unless you are playing a buddy method with another player. This is split-strategy play, whereby one plays Strategy #1 and the other Strategy #2, having combined your bankroll and wins together. This can be tricky, since you will both need to be on the same page at the same time and know exactly what is going on with each other’s play, bets, progressions, and bankroll status. It is simpler, therefore, for you to play either one or the other of the two strategies. You can alternate your sessions between the two, but it is best if you simply play one or the other consistently for your entire block of selected sessions.
If you are a good manager of your money, however, and have good knowledge of Craps and can maintain consistent mental acumen for your play, you can play both strategies at the same time. This will not be easy, but it is possible. To do this, you will need to treat the two strategies as indepen¬dent events and manage your money and bets accordingly. In addition, you must combine the methods of play and del-icately alter the strategies accordingly. This will become possible for you once you have mastered the strategies themselves. I caution you, however, that any mistake at any time during play will result in a defeat of the strategy itself and therefore diminish your success. Even just one mistake at any time will be catastrophic. Further, if you are playing both strategies at the same time, such a mistake in any one of them will corrupt the other. It is mentally extremely chal¬lenging to play both at the same time, so I will again advise you not to do this until you have thoroughly understood and mastered each of the two strategies here presented, and done so in actual in-casino play for significantly proficient time periods
Although the strategies you are about to learn appear in-herently simple, they are very thoroughly designed. Their simplicity belies the details that went into creating them, and the overall mathematics which allow them to be so profitable—when played correctly and consistently, with¬out mistakes.
Finally, you must play these strategies mechanically, without emotion, and without alteration no matter what goes on around the game and table itself. These strategies are designed to hide your identity as a strategy player, so don’t get distracted or discouraged by individual events. Remember that individual events do not matter to your strategy play—what does matter is your overall end result, which will be achieved if you do what you must in accor dance with the strategy instructions.

CRAPS STRATEGY #1

This strategy is based on the following principles:
• A betting progression of an increase by 1 chip unit each time a Toss occurs.
• Betting the pass line bet with a starting bet of 1 chip unit on the come out roll, and with double odds after a new point is established, and then placing the 5, 6, 8, and 9.
• The major action and betting progressions take place on the 5, 6, 8, and 9.
• The pass line bet, and odds, are used only as insur-ance against losses on the 5, 6, 8, and 9, and as a bonus payoff if the point is made, or a winner if a 7 or 11 is rolled on the come out.

Rules
1. Each come out roll, bet 1 chip unit on the pass line.
2. When the point is established, bet double odds be-hind the pass line bet.
3. After the point is established and you have made your double odds bet—place the 5, 6, 8, and 9 for the incremental equivalent of 1 chip units each, times the requisite increments for correct-odds payout.
4. If the point is either of the numbers 5, 6, 8, or 9, place the other three, since one of these four key numbers is now covered by the pass line bet and odds that will win if the point is made.
5. Each time any placed number wins, take that win and let the original bet ride.
6. Each time any placed number loses—which happens only if the shooter does not make the point—then bet 2 chip units on all the place numbers next time (after the next new point is established, prior to which you make your 1 chip unit pass line bet).
Always make sure that each chip unit is correctly con-figured for the best odds. For example, your single chip units for the 5 and the 9 should be $5, while for the 6 and the 8 the single chip unit must be $6; therefore, when bet-ting double, as indicated in this clause, your bets will now be $10 for the 5 and 9, and $12 for the 6 and 8, and so on for each such increase, always in correct increments.
7. 1f you lose your place number bets again, in consecu-tive losses, which can happen only if the shooter fails to make the point in consecutive rolls, increase your place bets by 3 chip units next time, and so on for any consecutive losses.

Keys to Remember
• Treat the 5, 6, 8, and 9 as a single unit.
• Only the 4 and 10 can be a point without one of your place numbers being the point.
• The initial 1 chip unit bet on the pass line must be at least $5.
• The initial 1 unit bets on the 6 and 8 must be either $3 or $6 or $12 or $24 to allow for payment of correct odds (and incrementally increased in units of a mini¬mum of $3 or $6 thereafter).
• The initial 1 unit bets on the 5 and 9 must be at least $5 (but can be $2 if 6 and 8 have a $3 bet as a unit, provided the casino you are at allows for less than $5 per single bet).
• It is not recommended that you play this method with bets of less than $6 each on the 6 and the 8, or less than $5 each on the 5 and the 9. Your minimum start¬ing requirements should be at least the $6 and the $5, each bet viewed as 1 unit. The recommended starting point is twice that, or $12 minimum on the 6 and 8, and $10 minimum on the 5 and 9, with a $5 pass line bet and $10 odds (double odds each time).

Bankroll
Minimum $800. Recommend $1,000 to $1,500.
Test Case Analysis

Each roll is identified by an alphabet letter, and all the sequences here shown constitute one test and session. Each lettered roll is a come out roll, followed by the results. Each sequence ends with a crap out. If the point is made, the se¬quence continues. Each entire session can only end with a crap out. The asterisk (*) signifies the point.

Analysis of Bets
Starting bets are at $5 for the pass line before the come out roll, with $10 odds after the point is established, then $5 each on the 5 and 9 and $6 each on the 6 and 8, progressing to $10 each on the 5 and 9 after a total loss and $12 each on the 6 and 8 after a total loss, and incrementally thereafter in equal units. Below is the analysis of the sequences, with the “W” meaning a WIN of that amount, and the “L” meaning a LOSS of that amount.

CRAPS STRATEGY #2: HARD WAYS

This strategy is based on the following principles:
• Starting bet of $5 on the pass line, no odds.
• Starting bet of $5 on each of the four hard ways: 4, 6, 8, and 10.
• Incremental increases on the hard ways by $1 each time a loss occurs on any one, or such an increase on all if a total loss occurs (which can happen only on crap out).
Rules
1. Always make a $5 starting bet on the pass line, no odds, on the come out roll.
2. After the point is established, make $5 bets on all the hard ways.
3. From then on, each time any hard ways bet loses, press that bet by $1 for the next sequence, and so on.
4. If all the hard ways bets lose (on crap out), press all hard ways bets by $1 next time the new point is es¬tablished.
For example: If the bets on 4 and 6 were at $6 each, and the 10 was at $9 and the 8 was at $5, press them all by $1 next time, so that now you have $7 each on the 4 and 6, and $10 on the 10 and $6 on the 8. And so on. This can get tricky, but that’s where your mental skills come into play. You can help yourself do this by using the rail to prepare your next sequence of bets for all the bets, using single chips as dividers for your next bet amounts. In many casi¬nos you can actually use pencil and paper to help your tracking of bets, but that tends to give you away as someone playing a strategy or trying to play one. As long as you are losing, the casinos won’t care, but once you start winning, they will keep a close eye on you, as will the surveillance cam¬eras. Your face will then be captured by the face-recognition software and your image will be instantly posted to every casino as a strategy player. It is better to gain your expertise by memorizing your betting progressions and practicing at home or at a casino with very low stakes where you can pro¬rate your methodology to those wagers. Then you can go and do this “for real”—so to speak—and you won’t be tracked and won’t need to write things down to know your next series of bets.
5. Each time any hard ways bet wins, take the win and let the previous bet ride.
6. Only increase your bets after a loss !!
Keys to Remember
• Any sequence begins with a come out roll and ends with a crap out.
• 1f the point is made, the sequence continues because hard ways do not automatically lose in this case; they should be simply called off for the next come out roll, and then called working for the continuation of that sequence roll.
